20. MERGER IN 2011
On 22 July 2011, the Board of Directors approved the takeover and merger of Agencia de Televisión Latinoamericana
de Servicios y Noticias España, S.A.U., Sociedad General de Televisión Cuatro, S.A.U. and Compañía Independiente de
Noticias Televisión, S.L.U.The merger deeds were executed on 27 July 2011. For accounting purposes, the merger takes
effect from 1 January 2011.
As a result of the merger, the balance sheet at 31 December 2011 includes the impact of the addition of these
companies’ assets and liabilities.
The assets and liabilities of the merged companies at 31 December 2010 were as follows:
